Both compounds here clear on the order of weeks, not hours. Semaglutide takes roughly 35 days to clear a single administration; tirzepatide about 25. When the interval between entries is far shorter than the clearance time — a week against a month — each one lands on top of what is still present.
The practical consequence is that the first month does not look like steady state. Levels climb for roughly four to five weeks before flattening. Someone comparing week two with week eight is comparing two genuinely different conditions, even with identical amounts recorded.
What that means for a log
- Clock time is noise. A few hours against a 120- or 168-hour half-life changes nothing. Record the date.
- The gap is the signal. A skipped week is a real dent in a curve that takes weeks to rebuild, and it is exactly what gets forgotten and then misattributed later.
- Record the amount every time. These are commonly stepped up over months, and a log that captures only the first amount stops describing reality quickly.
