Both compounds here clear fast — 1.5 to 2 hours. But their cited activity windows run far longer, up to 48 hours for TB-500. That is a gap of more than twenty times between how long the compound persists and how long a response is said to.
Those are two different measurements. Half-life describes elimination. An activity window describes how long downstream effects are claimed to last, which is a much softer figure and one worth treating with more caution than a half-life.
What that means for a log
- Nothing accumulates. Both clear within a working day, so each entry stands alone and there is no loading period to reason about.
- A decay-only chart would look empty. Plotting elimination alone gives a spike and an immediate collapse with no relationship between entries — which is why PepTrack models both figures.
- Intervals carry more than any single entry. With a short compound and a long claimed window, the gaps between entries describe the pattern better than the entries do.
